Randomness

You’re feeling: tired because it's Friday, yet energized to have a week off for Thanksgiving!
To your left: a coke, my cell phone, my Christmas planner
On your mind: our camping trip and what I'm going to bake for Thanksgiving
Last meal included: Scruby's ribs and okra!
You sometimes find it hard to: keep my priorities straight...read my Bible THEN, get on the computer...
The weather: is glorious...warm
Something you have a collection of: dirty clothes? j/k! I don't really collect stuff, but I guess I could say pictures!
A smell that cheers you up: coffee
A smell that can ruin your mood: maybe a burnt meal that I've slaved over...not that that EVER happens! lol
How long since you last shaved: 5 days-scary...
The current state of your hair: ponytail and messed up bangs, roots in bad shape
Your skill with chopsticks: I confess that I eat my Asian food with a fork, knife, and spoon, that way my food actually ends up in my mouth and not on the floor
Which section you head for first in a bookstore: usually the kids section
Something you’re craving: sleep
How many times have you been hospitalized this year: none...I've only been hospitalized when I was with child
Favorite place to go for a quiet moment: my big comfy bed
You’ve always secretly thought you’d be a good:high school teacher
Something that freaks you out a little: being a parent of a teenager...2 years to go
Something you’ve eaten too much of lately: spinach dip
You have never: gotten a tatoo
You never want to: jump out of an airplane

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for...
*pizza for dinner from Sam's
*that tomorrow is the last day of school for 10 days!!
*Dylan having no homework tonight AND no tests to study for.
*having a job that allowed me to go to Holly's Thanksgiving party today.
*Being able to keep up with my Bible:365 Personal Challenge (so far!)
*being able to pray for friends and family in need AND knowing that God hears!

Psalm 116:12 How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me??

What are you thankful for??

Weigh Down Wednesday

After seeing Holly's (my friend, not my daughter) 6lb. weight loss, I am inspired to jump on the weight watcher bandwagon! It worked miracles before and I know it is the way to go for me. So I signed up for WW online tonight. I've already logged and planned my meals for tomorrow...so here we go...!!!

Bible: 365

#19 on my 101 goals is to read my Bible all the way through in 2 years. After getting a great idea from a friend this weekend, I'm going to try to read it through in one year...starting today! Instead of following a mandated number of chapters per day, she suggested taking the number of pages in your Bible and dividing it by 365. Then, reading that number of pages per day. She has read her Bible twice using this method. It sounds alot more manageable that way. She also suggested using a Bible that has large print to make it easier as well. So I will map out my readings for the week as well as adding any notes that I feel led to share. The Bible I'm going to be using is my favorite Ryrie Study Bible in the King James Version. It has 1,951 pages. This comes out to 5 pages per day. Here's the plan for this week:

Genesis 1/12/10
Exodus 2/2/10
Leviticus2/7/10
Numbers 2/12/10
Deuteronomy
Joshua
Judges
Ruth
I & II Kings
I & II Chronicles
Ezra
Nehemiah
Esther
Job
Psalms
Proverbs
Ecclesiastes
Song of Songs
Isaiah
Jeremiah
Lamentations
Ezekiel
Daniel
Hosea
Joel
Amos
Obadiah
Jonah
Micah
Nahum
Habakkuk
Zephaniah
Haggai
Zechariah
Malachi
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Acts
Romans
I & II Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Phillippians
Colossians
I & II Thessalonians
I & II Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews
James
I & II Peter
I, II & III John
Jude
Revelations
And I did it in 4 months!! To be honest-Can't wait to start it again!

Mission: Impossible?

Have you ever tried to run a mile without stopping? Now I'm not talking to my fit friends who eat right and exercise like they should. I'm talking to my friends who are more like me-with meat on their bones (that shouldn't be there) and who flirt with exercise every now and again but never consistently. Well, I decided I was going to try it...yea, right! I started running and within about 2 minutes I thought I would die! So I stopped running and began walking until I caught my breath and then I ran a small spurt again until I had to go back to walking. So I completed the mile probably only actually running one-fourth of it. Who knew it would be soooo hard?? But now I'm on a mission....

Celebrity Moms

Top Ten Ways Motherhood Makes You a Celebrity

1. Someone's always hounding you for your autograph. Even if it's just on a permission slip for the class trip.
2. You travel with an entourage. Okay, so two of them are fighting over a bag of Doritos and one of them has a crusty nose, but STILL.
3. You spend your days club-hopping. How else would your kids get to Brownies?
4. You're front and center at every awards show. Because your 10-year-old would never forgive you for being absent from awards chapel.
5. You change clothes three times a day. And it's much more fun if you pretend it's because you're being stalked by the paparazzi, not a messy toddler.
6. You're on a spa diet. Your kids only leave broccoli on their plates for you.
7. You've flashed your boobs in public. Hey, it's not easy to juggle a hungry baby in one hand and unhook a nursing bra with the other!
8. People beg to sleep with you. Well, only because there's a monster under their bed.
9. You're covered in tattoos that your kid got in a birthday party goody bag and plastered on you when you were too pooped to resist.
10. Hassled as you feel right now, in 20 years you'll miss all the chaos.
Are you feeling like a celebrity yet?
